Abstract

The article presents the results of studies of the physical and mechanical properties of lightweight concrete based on gypsum binders and peat-vermiculite granules. The possibility of producing a composite material based on peat-vermiculite granules and gypsum is considered.
The relationship between strength characteristics and density has been studied, and it has been established that at a density of up to 850 kg/m3 an increase in the strength of the composite is not observed. In the work, experimental studies have established that with an increase in the particle size of the aggregate more than 6 mm, it will lead to a decrease in the average strength of the composite. Based on the data obtained, the drying temperature of lightweight concrete based on gypsum binders and peat-vermiculite granules was determined at 65–80 °C, relative humidity of the environment 45–65 %, exposure time 1 hour.
