Abstract
The analysis of domestic and European standards that applies to sanitizing plaster was carried out. Deficiencies in the current standards containing methods for assessing the physical and technical characteristics of a given material were revealed. Vapor permeability and capillary absorption are considered as the main parameters that determine the effectiveness of sanitizing properties. These indicators can act as the main signs of optimization in the development of new or updating existing regulatory documents.
