By the order of Rosstandart the information and technical reference book on the best available technologies (ITS BAT) 6-2022 “Cement production” was approved. The updated version of the document will be effective from September 1, 2023.  Nonprofit organization “SoyuzCement” took part in the updating of the reference book. Taking into account the suggestions of the enterprises, which are the members of the branch association, SoyuzCement provided data to the BAT Bureau for updating the document with the information reflecting up-to-date technological processes in cement industry.

Enterprises of the cement industry use BAT Guidebook “Cement Production” as a competent source of information when justifying technological processes as well as when filling out the documents for obtaining licenses and permits prescribed by the legislation.

At the initiative of SOYUZCEMENT the document was supplemented by information on the production processes that involve the use of alternative energy sources. Thus, the document added a methodology which allows you to justify the absence of ash residue when using alternative fuels. Now the guide can be used, for example, to justify the utilization of waste in the cement industry.

The information and technical reference book on the best available technologies ITS 6-2022 “Cement production” is updated in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of December 23, 2014.
No. 1458 “On the procedure for determining the technology as the best available technology, as well as the development, actualization and publication of information and technical reference books on the best available technologies”.

The document will be published on the website of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart). Now the content of the document is available on the portal of the BAT Bureau.

Due to the adoption of a new version of the reference document by Rosstandart starting from September 1, 2023 the information and technical reference document on the best available technologies ITS 6-2015 will be canceled.
