On March 31st, MosBuild, the 26th international exhibition for building and finishing materials, will host the DIY 2020 Forum, an annual event organised for DIY retailers, manufacturers and suppliers of construction and finishing materials.

The focal point of the DIY 2020 Forum will be the development of online trade in the field of construction and finishing materials and household goods. Top managers and leading specialists of Leroy Merlin, Petrovich, Maxidom and other chains, as well as international experts of the DIY market will participate in the Forum.  Today the largest DIY retailers are actively implementing various online sales strategies: some have already launched their own online store, others are actively working with specialized online aggregators — marketplaces, others are only testing options and analyzing the market. Retailers, who placed their bet on the development of omnichannel strategy at the right time, continue to develop and against the background of stagnating consumption, many show double-digit growth rates in 2019.

International expert Steve Collinge, Managing Director of Insight Retail Group (UK), permanent speaker of Global DIY Summit, the largest DIY event, will talk about digital transformation of retail, development of Do-It-For-Me services and features of shopping experience in offline and online stores.

The forum will save the format of thematic blocks. In the “Analytics + trends” block, experts will discuss the current situation in the DIY market; the “Marketing + Digital” block will explain how to promote business in the era of digital-channels.
