Abstract

The article presents the results of examinations of Portland cement containing fly ash and of reactive aggregates in cement mortars.
The use of fly ash has made it possible to reduce the expansion deformations and, in some cases, to prevent the destruction of the cement-sand mortar and concrete, which had taken place as a result of a corrosion process at the interaction of the alkaline environment with the aggregate that contained reactive silica inclusions.
