Abstract

The influence of the ratio of fine and coarse aggregates on the physicomechanical and thermomechanical properties of refractory concretes based on Portland cement and fireclay aggregates, obtained from concrete mixtures with high mobility, has been studied. It was revealed that with an increase in the proportion of fine aggregate in the mixture of aggregates and at a constant water-binding ratio, the strength indicators and the modulus of elasticity of concrete increase both at the initial temperature (20 °C) and upon heating, the residual strength and heat resistance of refractory concrete increase. At the same time, shrinkage deformations after heating to 800 °C of all the studied concretes do not exceed 0.7 %. This indicates the prospects for the use of fine-grained refractory concrete obtained from a concrete mix with high mobility.
