Abstract
The aim of the study was to establish the regularities of polycarboxylates adsorption on Portland cement hydrates in the case of blended admixtures, including lignosulfonates. The influence of the ratio of the components of blended admixtures, the peculiarities of polycarboxylates structure and the mineralogical composition of Portland cement has been studied. The relationship between adsorption ratio and polycarboxylates effect on the initial slump of concrete mixes and slump retention has been analyzed.
Key words:
polycarboxylates, blended admixtures, competitive adsorption, plasticizing efficiency, slump retention
