Abstract
The influence of a complex mineral additive consisting of microsilica and wastes of enrichment of polymetallic ores of the Balkhash mining and processing plant on the processes of hydration and structure formation of tricalcium silicate (alite), the main mineral of cement clinker, has been investigated. The mineralogical composition of the hydration products of alite in the presence of a complex mineral additive was studied at various times of hardening from 3 to 28 days. The optimal dosage of a complex mineral additive in the composition of cement has been determined and the effectiveness of its effect on the degree of hydration of alite has been evaluated.
