Abstract
The 1st of July 2010 is an important date that saw the commencement of the Сustoms Union between the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. This is an important event in the political and economic life of the three nations, and at the same time an important event in the sphere of technical regulation.
For the unhindered transportation of goods through the customs territory of the Customs Union, a large number of issues must be coordinated, the positions of the parties must be clarified, and a package of documents must be developed which ensure the protection of the market and consumers from dangerous goods.
The main task of technical regulation within the economic union is to reduce technical barriers in trade and ensure the free movement of safe and high-quality goods across the common territory. Today not a single issue concerning technical regulation in the Russian Federation can be examined separately from integration processes.
