Abstract

Reinforced concrete constructions should meet the requirements of specification documents in strength, hardness, crack resistance and longevity, as during designing of the concrete mixture it is necessary to provide not only required compression strength class, but also the corresponding level of such parameters as ultimate tensile strength, initial coefficient of elasticity, shrinkage, creeping parameters, frost resistance, etc. Superplasticizer (SP) can influence the character of sponginess of the cement brick and therefore properties mentioned above. Thereby a question concerning estimation of the efficiency of the specific superplasticizer is a quite complicated task. The situation is getting worse because of effect of so-called individual compatibility (or incompatibility) of the specific superplasticizer with specific concrete. Great amount of additives’ market offers frequently complicates work of a technologist in choosing an additive forcing him to be excessively careful and to abandon a new and quite effective superplasticizer. We can recommend the estimation basing on the information given further.
