Abstract

The world economy has lately faced acid tests. Initially, influence of the financial crisis onto technique and engineering in cement industry was not considerable, and indices of the branch in the first half of 2008 were at the same level as in 2007, but in the second half of 2008 the influence of crisis became more visible.

Under the influence of crisis, the majority of large servicing companies of the branch broke agreements with contractors, or had to sign the agreements with unfavorable conditions. This related to, first of all, large companies servicing markets of Europe and the USA. However, despite troubles and acid tests brought by the crisis to industrial enterprises, supplies of products in service sector actually generated some profits to them in «comparable prices» during the crisis.

In uneasy environment of the crisis 2008 year Sinoma Engineering International signed profitable contracts for a total sum of 32.7 bn yuan (deducting some items) with foreign partners, which exceeded the level of the previous year by 177%. The share of Sinoma Engineering International in the international market increased up to 35% in 2008, so the company ranked the first in the world (Fig).
