Abstract
The drying of mineral raw materials is an important step for enrichment of industrial minerals. Compared to other stages in the processing of raw materials, the drying process requires more energy, which brings up the issue of energy efficiency of drying equipment. Various types of dryers/coolers are often used in machines for dry building mixture production at sand enrichment and in cement production as well as to dry washed or earth-moist raw materials so that they can be sifted on the level of finer fractions. This article describes the most cost- and energy-efficient type of vibrating dryers, namely, the convection vibrating fluid bed dryer.
