Abstract

The article presents a brief analysis of motorways construction with cement concrete pavements in Germany, starting from the beginning of this technology in the 1930s and until nowadays. Some economical and technical aspects of cement concrete paving allowing creating durable highways for heavy and constantly increasing traffic loads are shown based on the German experience.
