Abstract
The article discusses the problem of rutting on cement concrete roads and identifies factors affecting the formation of a road defect and the amount of wear caused by studded tires. This is an urgent problem that reduces the intensity of application and the development of the construction of a network of cement concrete roads on the territory of the Russian Federation. The main way to increase the resistance of the road surface to rutting is a demanding and methodical approach to the selection of concrete composition. A group of companies included in the Association of Concrete Roads reviewed the experience of foreign countries, tested and generated methodological proposals with extended criteria for selecting the composition of cement concrete mix for the construction of cement concrete roads.
