Abstract

Transport construction is one of top priorities of the governmental economic policy. Transport construction, together with power supply infrastructure, telecommunications, some other sectors, create conditions for successful development of the economy as a whole. Another important problem is to ensure the exploitation reliability of the existing transport works. As of today, a great number of existing concrete and reinforced concrete constructions require repair, reconstruction or restoration. In order to solve the aforementioned problems successfully, development and delivery of efficient material including those on basis of dry building mixtures are required.

Field of dry mixtures application

In distinction from mixtures ready for use, application of dry building mixtures enables to carry out works both, in thick layers (under a traditional technology), and in thin layers with the thickness from 0,5…6 mm. The best effect from the use of dry building mixtures can be achieved when carrying out works in thin layers. In this case, labor productivity can be increased by 1,5…5 times, and materials consumption can be reduced by 3-10 times compared with traditional methods of works execution. Efficiency of dry mixtures use for thin layers depends on the type of works and the level of mechanization used for treatment of the dry mix at a construction site.

Process of dry mixtures production enables to manufacture mixtures with optimal granulometric composition of aggregates and fillers with precise dosage of the mix components (errors caused by moisture content of raw materials and concentration of liquid additives, which take place when mixtures ready for use are prepared, are not taken into account). As a result, quality of dry mixtures and mortars (concrete) on their base is higher. Besides, it becomes possible to obtain mixtures with unique physico-mechanical properties. For example, it is possible to prepare super high-strength and high-early-strength concrete and mortars, wear-proof coverings, insulating materials, etc.
