Abstract

According to the experts, the post-crisis year 2012 was the year of rising building activity, growing incomes of households, and positive dynamics on the consumer market. That had immediately caused the demand for business real estate to grow. In 2013, plans were declared to put into operation 28 office properties with a total area of 249 thousand sq. m, over 240 storage facilities, and over 250 thousand sq. m of trade properties; there were also plans of development of the Minsk hotel market for the 2014 Ice Hockey World Championship 2014 г. (Fig. 1). These factors have had a positive effect on the growth of production of dry building mixtures (DBM) (Fig. 2).
In the early 1990s, Belarusian producers of dry mixtures could only offer a scarce range of products to the building industry, namely, tile adhesives, plasters, fillers, and façade insulation systems. In the recent years, the nomenclature of Belarusian dry mixtures has changed significantly in the direction of complexity of compositions. Currently Belarusian enterprises produce a broad variety of protective and finishing plasters for indoor and outdoor use, waterproofing compounds, self-leveling floor screeds, grout line mixtures, etc.
