Abstract
Portland cement is the most often applied and reliable construction material used in the whole world.
Portland cement is the name for hydraulic binding agent obtained by way of combined grinding of Portland cement clinker, gypsum and hydraulic additive.
The main parameter to define running each stage of clinker phases’ forming is chemical composition of the initial mixture.
Characteristic factors for raw mixtures are the following: saturation factor (ks), silicate (n) and alumina (p) modules. To maintain the given characteristics (ks, n, p) of a raw mixture, more than one substance can be added to its composition; the substances are called components. The main components are carbonate and aluminate ones. Apart from these components, correction components can also be used to maintain the mentioned raw mixture’s characteristics.
In this research we have attempted to apply solid residues of Dzhadzhurskoye deposit (Republic of Armenia) slate stone semicarbonization process instead of clayish (aluminate) component.
