Abstract

Chinese economy maintained steady growth in 2013. The cement production increased beyond expectation thanks to the growth rate of 20 % in the fixed assets investment and huge investment in the infrastructure construction and real estate nationwide. The cement production reached 2.42 bln tons last year, increasing 9.5 % on year-on-year basis, and the increasing rate in 2012 was 5.7 %.
The industry realized profits of 76.6 bln yuan in 2013, increasing about 16.4 % on year-on-year basis, second only to the best record in 2011. However, there is obvious regional difference, and the profit in the north is relatively lower than that in the south.
