Abstract

In dry mixtures, the same classes of admixtures are used as in concrete technology. However, polycarboxylate type superplasticizers, adapted for the tasks of concrete technology, are, as a rule, ineffective in dry mixes. The probable causes of this phenomenon are considered and a number of requirements for the molecular structure of PCEs for dry mixtures are formulated. It is shown that PCE optimal structure is defined by the nature of the binder in dry mixes. The results of testing a polymeric analogue of tartaric acid as a setting regulator are presented.
