Abstract

The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of workability of concrete mixture on subsequent compaction by vibration. This goal was realized by introducing MasterGlenium ACE 431 and Polyplast SP-1 plasticizing additives into the concrete mixture. Comparative studies were performed analysis of concrete workability without additives, with the Polyplast SP-1 and with the MasterGlenium ACE 431.

The results of determining the strength of concrete showed the effectiveness of the use of these additives to increase the workability of the concrete mixture which can reduce energy costs of using ready-mixed concrete.

The results of determining the energy necessary for optimal compaction of concrete using vibrators are given by measuring the acceleration and movements of the concrete mixture in the process of vibration.

Key words:

vibration compaction, concrete, workability, concrete additives
