Abstract

The article describes the results of research of the effect of an impregnating compound based on magnesium fluosilicate on concrete properties. It has been found that surface or volume impregnation (fluating) improves the operational properties of concrete significantly. It has been shown that the effectiveness of the designed fluate formula can compete with that of Burke-O-Lith, a product of the American company Burke, which is popular in many countries. Successful trial tests have become the basis for industrial production of a fluate under the trade name Siftor.
