Abstract

Requirements for concrete floor compositions, capable of ensuring service reliability, have been developed on basis of over 50 years of practical experience worldwide, and some less in Russia. Theoretical background for these ideas was formulated back at the beginning of the 20th century, but the technical and technological level of those days did not enable to develop those hypotheses so that to guarantee a 100 % result. It becomes possible nowadays, thanks to new methods of analysis, modern equipment and up-to-date technologies. The existing requirements are based on thorough check-up of theoretical background under maximal loading conditions and environmental loads not only in laboratories, but also under conditions of industrial use of the structures.
