Abstract

Application of best available techniques (BAT) is aimed at improving the existing legal regulation in the sphere of environmental protection by means of BAT use mechanism. Information and technical reference for the best available techniques (ITR) provides a description of cement production processes, equipment, technical means and methods to reduce the negative impact on the environment, water and raw material consumption, and to improve energy efficiency. Technological parameters specified in the ITR will be used as a basis for calculation of technological standards established by the integrated environmental permits (IEP).
