Abstract

The article presents data on physical-mechanical and heat-protective properties of light structural-heat-insulating concretes on various vitreous aggregates — glass granulates (GG).
GG are firing aggregates with bulk density of 150–300 kg/m3 and cylinder strength of 0.5–2 MPa, obtained by pre-treatment of siliceous rocks with an alkaline component and subsequent firing in rotary kilns. It is established that the vitreous shell of aggregate grain has a closed uniformly distributed porosity with a high content of glass phase and increased strength and thermophysical characteristics.
The influence of glass phase in the composition of the porous aggregate on the aggregate properties of structural, heat and hydrophysical properties of concrete is revealed. The fundamentals of technology and regulatory support for the practical application of lightweight concretes with a density of 500–800 kg/cm3 and B 2.5–7.5 in enclosing structures with high thermal protection properties for various climatic conditions, including the conditions of the Republic of Crimea, have been developed.
