Abstract
The studies of resistance of waterproofing membranes to the impact of hydrostatic pressure on rough surface were conducted. Membranes based on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), thermoplastic polyolefins (TPO), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) were tested. The study revealed significant difference between the waterproofing materials. The results of studies allow to propose the criterion for choosing of waterproofing material in accordance with hydrogeological conditions of a construction site.
Key words:
underground waterproofing, polymeric membranes, hydraulic structures, resistance to hydrostatic pressure, rolled bitumen-polymer materials, bitumen-polymer membrane
