Abstract
The cost of energy and electricity had been continuously elevating over the years due to the further depleting sources of energy; the waste heat recovery is becoming more significant. The waste heat recovery in the system from the high temperature gases can be taken into account as a potential option to enhance the process efficiency of energy in industry. By using the recovery systems, waste heat can be captured, whereas the efficiency values of energy and exergy will provide the interrogators with knowledge about how effectually and competently a sector utilizes its resources of energy. If some of the waste heat could be recovered then a considerable amount of primary fuel could be saved. The energy lost in waste gases cannot be fully recovered. This article highlights the importance of the waste heat recovery in the clinker cooler of cement industry by absorption the heat losses and utilization these losses to reheat the working fluid of cogeneration cycle. The process of waste heat recovery has a different way than its predecessors.
Key words:
waste heat recovery; clinker cooling; energy analysis; cement industry
