For the energy efficient design of façades made of concrete sandwich elements, one has to know very precisely the thermal properties of these building elements — especially in the elements thermal bridge areas. Due to the fact that the usual standard for the U-values calculation is not applicable, a new calculation method has to be developed. In the present article all essential information regarding this calculation method is put together in a very compact way and supplemented by some additional explanatory notes in respect of web-based planning tools.
