Abstract

Long–term thorough investigations enabled us to develop an algorithm of co–polymers synthesis on base of naphthalene sulphonic acid, which led us to creation of a whole group of admixtures with unusual properties. A concept of further chemical modification of co–polymers molecular structure — on the base of polymethylene–naphthalenesulphonates — has been developed. This concept should enable synthesis of hybrid molecules, similar to currently known polyethter-carboxylates by formal parameters (a concept of convergency).

Admixtures on base of co–polymers of naphthalene sulphonic acid have been industrially manufactured for 5 years by present. Properties of a range of co–polymer superplasticizers produced by the company “Poliplast” have been considered; comparative tests of co–polymer and traditional admixtures of naphthalene–formaldehyde type are represented here.
