Abstract

The results of studies of the effect of slag sands from Seversk Heat and Power Plant in Tomsk Region and West Siberian Metallurgical Plant in Kemerovo region on the properties of cement based foam concrete mix and foam concrete of natural hardening are given in this article. The development of scientifically-based foam concrete compositions with improved quality and thermal conductivity is achieved by the use of porous sands of slag waste from the metallurgical and energy industries in the technology of manufacturing heat-insulating and structural-heat-insulating foam concrete for the construction of low-rise buildings.
It has been developed optimum composition of heat-insulating foam concrete D500 with 70 % replacement of quartz sand to slag sand from Seversk Heat and Power Station in Tomsk Region with the compressive strength B0,75 and thermal conductivity coefficient of 0.064 W/(m·°С) and also composition of structural-heat-insulating foam concrete D600 with the complete replacement of quartz sand to slag sand from West Siberian Metallurgical Plant in Kemerovo region with the compressive strength B1,5 and coefficient of thermal conductivity of 0.090 W/(m·°С).
The developed composition of cement foam concrete is recommended for wall blocks in factory conditions for individual housing construction.
