The concrete market can be divided into two sub-markets — marketable concrete (for sale) and concrete for own needs of enterprises (not for sale).
Ready-mix concrete is the product of the manufacturer. As a rule, for such plants, concrete production is the main activity. This concrete is commodity and is available on the market for free circulation. The price of ready-mix concrete is set because of supply and demand of the main market participants.
Concrete for own needs of enterprises, used in the future technological redistribution of the enterprise, is not commodity concrete, because it is not represented in the market for free sale. In this case, concrete is not the final product and is not taken into account in statistical observations of the market for marketable concrete.
In the whole study of the market we investigate a segment of the market of ready-mix concrete, reflecting the interaction of enterprises-producers of the final product and its consumers.
