Abstract
In September 2022, cement production in the Russian Federation increased by 0.1 % by August 2021 and amounted to 6.2 million tons. Production in January–September 2022 increased by 5.2 % to January–September 2021 — 47.8 million tons.
In September 2022, cement shipments to the Russian Federation downgraded by 1.7 % by September 2021 and amounted to 6.2 million tons. Increase in shipments in January–September 2022 by January–September 2021 — 4.0 % to 47.8 million tons.
Railway transportation of cement in the Russian Federation in September 2022 increased by 3.1 % compared to the corresponding month last year to 2.6 million tons. Railway transportation of cement in the Russian Federation in January–September 2022 decreased by 2.4 % compared to the corresponding period last year to 19,8 million tons, while in the total volume of deliveries, the share of cement transportation by rail decreased from 43.6 % to 40.7 %.
Imports of cement in the Russian Federation in September 2022 increased by 53.6 % compared to the corresponding month of the previous year to 227 thousand tons. The volume of cement imports to the Russian Federation in 2022 increased by 3.8 % compared to last year and amounted to 1555 thousand tons
Exports of cement from the Russian Federation in 2022 by 2021 decreased by 39.1 % to 79 thousand tons. The volume of export of cement from the Russian Federation for the period 2022 by 2021 decreased by 23.3 % to 740 thousand tons.
Cement consumption growth in September 2022 by September 2021 — 0.6 % to 6,4 million tons. The increase in consumption in January–September 2022 by January–September 2021 was 4.6 % to 48.6 million tons.
Producer prices (excluding VAT and delivery) in September 2022 compared to August 2022 increased by 1.4 % and amounted to 5174 rubles/ton. Purchase prices (including VAT and delivery) increased by 0.7 % and amounted to 6639 rubles/ton.
The volume of the cement market of the Russian Federation in value terms in September 2022 increased by 23.7 % compared to the corresponding month last year to 42.8 billion rubles. In January–September 2022, this indicator increased by 22.2 % compared to the corresponding period last year and amounted to 297.3 billion rubles.
