Abstract

In December 2020, cement production in the Russian Federation increased by 2.0 % versus December 2019 and amounted to 3.3 million tons. Production decline in 2020 by 2019 — 3.0 % to 55.9 million tons.
In December 2020, cement shipments to the Russian Federation increased by 0.1 % versus December 2019 and amounted to 3.2 million tons. Decrease in shipments in 2020 by 2019 — 3.1 % to 55.7 million tons.
Railway transportation of cement in the Russian Federation in December 2020 increased by 7.4 % compared to the corresponding month of last year to 1.5 million tons. Railway transportation of cement in the Russian Federation in 2020 decreased by 4.6 % compared to last year to 24.6 million tons, while in the total volume of supplies the share of cement transportation by railway transport decreased from 44.5 % to 44.0 %.
In December 2020 cement Import in Russia increased by 59.1 % compared to the corresponding month of last year to 87 thousand tons. The volume of cement imports to the Russian Federation in 2020 decreased by 4.4 % compared to last year and amounted to 1,372 thousand tons.
Export of cement from the Russian Federation in December 2020 to December 2019 decreased by 8.9 % to 46 thousand tons. The volume of export of cement from the Russian Federation for the period of 2020 by 2019 increased by 14.4 % to 1,135 thousand tons.
Growth in cement consumption in December 2020 versus December 2019 — 1.3 % to 3.3 million tons. Decrease in consumption in 2020 by 2019 — 3.4 % to 56.0 million tons.
