On May 29–31 the V International Business Conference on Cement “White Nights” was held in Grand Hotel Europe, St. Petersburg, organized jointly by the international analytical review “ALITinform: Cement. Concrete. Dry Mixtures”, the Association of Concrete Roads, Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov and the Russian Union of Builders.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Eurocement Group and “Avtopark №1 “Spetstrans” officially supported the conference. ZKG International and World Cement journals became media partners of the event.

During the two days of the conference, 25 reports were presented. The event brought together about 120 specialists from 11 countries: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, China, the Netherlands, the United States of America, Switzerland and Russia. Among them were representatives of Eurocement group, LafargeHolcim, HeidelbergCement Rus, Sebryakovcement, Sinoma, VDZ, Cinar, Fives FCB, Aalborg Portland, MADI, Uraltsem, HC “Siberian Cement”, Vostoktsement and many others.

The conference included the usual sessions to discuss topical issues for the cement industry: “Expanding the use of alternative fuels in the Russian cement industry” and “Construction of concrete roads — the new driver of cement industry development”.

The informal part of the “White Nights” was also held. All the participants of the conference were invited to take an evening tour on the Neva River, where they continued discussing the issues raised at the event in an informal setting.

The next business conference on cement will be held in spring 2021 in St. Petersburg. We are looking forward to seeing you in the city on the Neva!
